Mr. Md. Fazlul Hoque, Former President of the BKMEA, Former Director of the FBCCI, and Managing Director of Plummy Fashions Ltd, has been appointed as the Administrator of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), vide Ministry of Commerce, circular no: 26.00.0000.000.156.35.0016.21.70 dated 26 July 2026 under Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022.

On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Md. Fazlul Hoque has officially taken charge as the Administrator of the FBCCI. According to the circular, he will conduct a free and fair election within 120 days and shall hand over the responsibilities to the newly elected body. 

Following his takeover, Mr. Fazlul Hoque convened an introductory session with the officers and staff of the FBCCI Secretariat. During the address, he requested the complete cooperation and wholehearted support of all personnel to execute the electoral mandate smoothly and within the stipulated period.

Responding to the call, FBCCI Secretary General Mr. Md. Alamgir pledged the complete backing of the Secretariat, emphasizing that the team remains steadfast in its duty to maintain integrity, uphold neutral elections, and advance FBCCI’s broader agenda in trade facilitation and strategic policy advocacy.
