FBCCI’s Export Research Cell Holds Inaugural Meeting

The Export Research Cell of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) convened its inaugural meeting on 14 October 2026 at FBCCI’s Motijheel office in Dhaka, bringing together sectoral associations and chambers to map out strategies for export diversification, enhanced market competitiveness, and a smooth graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status.

Presided over by FBCCI Administrator Mr. Md. Fazlul Hoque, the session underscores a critical step in aligning national business strategies with recent government directives. In an effort to explore untapped potentials and fortify key sectors, the government recently mandated the establishment of dedicated export research cells across all chambers and associations. As the apex trade body in Bangladesh, FBCCI spearheaded this rollout by establishing its own core export research cell.

The newly formed cell is designed to act as a catalyst for bridging market insights and policy advocacy into actionable research and execution. In his address, Administrator Mr. Md. Fazlul Hoque urged member chambers & associations to empower the cell with credible, field-level insights, ensuring its initiatives deliver measurable economic impact.

Following a detailed report by FBCCI Secretary General Mr. Md. Alamgir on the cell's roadmap and objectives, key stakeholders engaged in an open floor discussion on industry-specific insights and recommendations.

The gathering brought together public and private sector leaders - including key government ministries, financial institutions, top trade bodies, and regional and sectoral associations - to shape a shared strategy for export growth.
