A visiting delegation from the World Bank Mission including Senior Private Sector Specialist Mr. Magueye Dia, Senior Private Sector Specialist Mrs. Hosna Ferdous Sumi, and Financial Sector Specialist Ms. Sophie Dong, met the FBCCI Administrator on 27 October 2026 at FBCCI’s Gulshan office, Dhaka.

The discussion focused on understanding the priorities for private sector-led economic growth and job creation, identifying the existing opportunities and bottlenecks in private sector development, and outlining the key actions required by the World Bank to accelerate sustainable development.

BKMEA President Mr. Mohammad Hatem, Barisal Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Mr. Ebaydul Hoque Chand, Bangladesh Jute Mills Association Chairman Mr. Md. Abul Hossain, and FBCCI Secretary General Mr. Md. Alamgir attended the meeting.
