The Four-day "South Asia Trade Fair 2025" kicks off on September 18, 2025 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka with the participation of SAARC countries. Products and services from the best brands in South Asia, including fashion and lifestyle products, electronics products, cosmetics, jewelry, processed foods, technology products, home appliances and kitchenware, are available in the fair.

Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh inaugurated the fair. SCCI President Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin, FBCCI Secretary General Mr. Md. Alamgir, Director of the SAARC Secretariat (Economy, Trade and Finance) Mr. Bhavesh R. Trivedi were present at the ceremony. 

The fair is organized by the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the Ministry of Commerce, and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

Business leaders from various chambers and associations, diplomats, representatives from SAARC Chambers and FBCCI were also present at the inaugural.
